Electrical work & rewires
Mark is the reason electrics are not something we subcontract and hope for. It is the trade that dictates the order of a renovation, so having it in-house is why our programmes hold.
Why having the sparky in-house changes the programme
First fix electrics have to be finished before the plasterer starts, and second fix cannot begin until decoration is nearly done. On most jobs the electrician is a subcontractor juggling four sites, and the whole schedule bends around their availability. Here it does not. That single fact is why our timescales tend to hold when other people's slip.
Lighting is a design decision, not a wiring one
Most rooms are lit badly because the lighting was decided by where the old rose happened to be. As part of any renovation we will go through the room with you and plan it properly — where you actually read, cook, work and relax, what gets dimmed, what comes on separately. It costs very little extra at first fix and it is the change people mention most afterwards.
Certificates you can find again
Every job leaves with the right certificate, notified where notification is needed, and a copy in your digital handover pack. When you sell the house and the solicitor asks, it takes you thirty seconds.
Questions we get asked
Are you qualified and registered?
Yes. All electrical work is carried out to BS 7671 and certified, with Building Control notification where the regulations require it.
Do I need a full rewire?
Often not. Plenty of houses need a consumer unit upgrade and some remedial work rather than the whole lot. We will test first and tell you what is actually needed — a rewire is a big invoice and we are not going to sell you one you do not need.
Can you do electrical work on its own?
Yes. You do not need to be renovating to book Mark for a board change, extra sockets, an EV charger or an EICR.
